You are playing Game of Health whether you like it or not.
If there is one area of life that affects everything else, it is health.
Your body keeps score, whether you do or not.
Your energy.
Your mood.
Your confidence.
Your ability to work.
Your ability to enjoy life.
Everything sits on top of your physical condition.
And yet, many people treat health as something they will deal with later.
After they make more money.
After work becomes less stressful.
After life settles down.
The problem is that life never really settles down.
And your body keeps collecting the consequences in the meantime.
Health Is Simpler Than You Think
The internet has turned health into a very complicated subject.
Calories.
Supplements.
Biohacking.
Special diets.
The reality is much simpler.
Most people do not need more information.
They need better execution.
For the purpose of this system, I focus on three things:
Sleep.
Nutrition.
Activity.
If you get those three reasonably right, you will already be ahead of most people.
Sleep
Start with sleep.
Not because it is the most exciting thing to improve, but because it affects everything else.
Try to sleep roughly eight hours per night.
Go to bed and wake up at similar times whenever possible.
Follow your schedule.
The goal is not perfection.
The goal is consistency.
Good sleep improves mood, energy, recovery, discipline, and overall quality of life.
Nutrition
Nutrition does not have to be complicated either.
Most people already know they should eat better.
They just do not know where to start.
My advice is simple.
Build your diet primarily around:
Meat.
Vegetables.
Dairy products.
Fruit.
Drink mostly water.
Try to avoid sweetened drinks.
Try to avoid heavily processed foods.
Try to avoid living on bakery products and snacks.
You do not need a perfect diet.
Just move closer to real food and further away from artificial food.
That alone solves a surprising amount of problems.
Activity
Your body was designed to move.
Choose an activity you can do consistently and start there.
If you are severely overweight, walking is enough.
If you enjoy sports, play sports.
If you like the gym, go to the gym.
If you enjoy hiking, hike.
The specific activity matters much less than consistency.
Move your body several times per week.
That is enough for getting you started.
What Actually Matters
Most people fail because they try to change everything at once.
A perfect plan that lasts two weeks is worth less than a simple plan that lasts two years.
Focus on consistency.
Focus on habits you can realistically maintain.
Do not aim for perfect health.
Aim for better health than you have today.
Action Step
Look at your Health section in the Vision document.
Describe your current reality honestly.
Then choose one thing you will improve this month:
Sleep.
Nutrition.
Or activity.
